That was then. Steve wrote the song during the 1994-1995 murder trial of O.J. Simpson, correctly predicting the verdict. The song’s above video is from 2008. It crashed YouTube for, like, a whole week.

When O.J. Simpson died in 2024, Steve gave the world’s first post-Juice instrumental performance of “I Beat the System.” Upon his upload of this new vid, the whole Internet broke — but for, like, barely two minutes this time; they had gotten much better at responding to such situations.
