- Steve wrote the meaninglessness that is “Oh Phe” in June 2019. The recording is from a quick session at Black Cat Studio, engineered and produced by Bill Sharrow, who also played bass and doubled Steve’s two-handed finger snaps. Jim Cavanaugh played drums, while Steve handled all the singing and keyboards.
- On the same day of the recording, June 19, 2019, Steve impulsively released “Oh Phe” to the public. He dedicated to Get the Led Out on his 10th anniversary of a life-changing experience: meeting the band and watching them perform for the first time.
The glorious self-titled debut from college rock obscurity The Interface was released in 2000.
Steve played keyboards, sang backing vocals, and co-wrote two tracks:
“A Trip” and “Adrienne.”
Steve’s musical contributions are also
heard on these other artists’ recordings.
